McClintic Library, in cooperation with the Pocahontas County Historical Society and the Pocahontas County Genealogy Group, maintains a collection of materials pertaining to the history of Pocahontas County and surrounding regions. These materials must be used in-house. We also have the Pocahontas Times in a digitized, searchable format for use by patrons and researchers alike. Printing is available, and costs twenty cents per page. For more information contact Pamela Johnson at the McClintic Library at 304-799-6000.
McClintic Library houses a collection of Braille books which are available for circulation. The majority of these titles are children’s books. All branches can help patrons with vision loss to register with the state’s Library for the Blind in order to receive free materials from Charleston. See your branch library for more details.
